Implied Claim
An environmental message conveyed indirectly, through images, colours, symbols, product names or context, rather than in words. Examples include leaves, globes, green packaging or nature scenes that suggest an environmental benefit.
EcoAppraise context
Regulators assess the overall impression on the consumer. EcoAppraise treats implied claims the same as explicit ones, and they need the same substantiation.
