SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard
The Science Based Targets initiative's framework for companies setting net zero targets. Version 2.0 was published in 2026, with new requirements phasing in from 2028. It requires deep emission cuts across all scopes and neutralisation of residual emissions with removals.

A company should not describe its net zero target as SBTi-validated unless it has been formally validated, and should state which version of the standard applies.
