ISO 14068-1
The international standard for carbon neutrality, published in 2023. It requires a defined subject, quantified footprint, a reduction plan, and offsetting only for residual emissions, with transparent reporting. It replaced PAS 2060, which BSI has withdrawn.
EcoAppraise context
Following ISO 14068-1 does not make offset-based product neutrality claims lawful for EU consumers. The EmpCo ban applies whatever standard is used.
