EU Taxonomy

An EU classification system that defines which economic activities count as environmentally sustainable. To be taxonomy-aligned, an activity must make a substantial contribution to at least one of six environmental objectives, do no significant harm to the others, and meet minimum social safeguards.

EcoAppraise context

"Taxonomy-aligned" has a precise legal meaning. Using it, or implying it, without the supporting assessment is a high-risk claim.
