Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
An independently verified document that reports quantified life cycle environmental data for a product, based on product category rules and life cycle assessment.
EcoAppraise context
An EPD reports impacts; it does not by itself show that a product is environmentally preferable. Comparisons using EPDs must use the same product category rules.
