Comparative Claim

A claim that compares the environmental performance of a product, service or company with another, or with an earlier version, such as "50% less plastic" or "greener than leading brands".

EcoAppraise context

Comparisons must be fair and like-for-like: same function, same methodology, same boundary and a clearly stated baseline. Unstated comparisons are a frequent cause of misleading-claim rulings.
