A claim that an activity removes more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits.

These claims are very high risk: they depend on full emissions accounting and high-quality, durable removals. "Climate positive" is often misunderstood by consumers. Offset-based product claims of this kind are banned for EU consumers from 27 September 2026.
