ASA Ruling on Eurowings: 'Climate-Conscious' Travel and 100% CO2 Compensation Claims Banned
The ASA upheld a complaint about a Eurowings Google search ad suggesting passengers could fly more eco-friendly and climate-consciously by paying to offset up to 100% of a flight's emissions. The ASA found the optional payment scheme did not show that a flight's emissions would actually be fully offset.

Why it matters
Part of a continued ASA crackdown on airline offset messaging: claims that customers can neutralise a flight's footprint, or that flying is greener, are high risk without robust evidence.
